PhD studentships, deadline: 28 April 2011
The Institute for Social and Economic Research at the University of Essex,UK has up to 8 fully funded PhD studentships available for the 2011 entry. The studentships are funded by the Economic and Social Research Council through the University of Essex Doctoral Training Centre.
For the first time EU students will be eligible for full funding including fees plus living allowance components totalling £18,000 per year. The studentships will fund either 1+3 programmes (Taught MA year plus three years PhD) or for those who already have a suitable Masters, three years for a PhD.
Students must be doing research using quantitative methods to be eligible. Applications to the University of Essex need to be made by 28 April 2011.
